The engineer shall certify the total estimated cost of construction, total estimated cost incurred till date and balance cost of completion. The engineer shall certify these costs keeping in mind the estimation given at the time of project registration. Any irregularity found by engineer must be communicated to promoters as well as RERA authority. These details has to be certified in a particular format called Form-2. The Form-2 is sub divided into three parts called Table-A, Table-B and Table-C.

Most of the real estate project have been financed by financial institution. Hence it becomes imperative for RERA to ascertain that the money is being used for project’s official purpose and its being used in accordance with its estimated cost.

An authorized engineer associated with project shall certify Form-2. The engineer must have a valid membership number. The engineer is responsible to verify the cost of project in accordance with the percentage of completion of project.
